Amid Soho's vibrant streets, Bocconcino Soho merges the traditional charm Italian restaurant in Soho of Italian gastronomy with the contemporary vibe of Soho. The restaurant's design captures the essence of modern Italian aesthetics, with refined interiors boasting warm earthy tones and marble accents, whilst the menu plays homage to Bocconcino’s original Forte dei Marme roots. Every Friday and Saturday night and Saturday Brunch, our ground floor comes alive with live resident DJs setting the tone for the start of the weekend.
OUR MENU
Our kitchen team celebrates the quintessential ingredients, flavours, and traditions of Italy, all while introducing the contemporary flair Bocconcino is renowned for. This approach includes an innovative selection that reflects the restaurant's unique spin on Italian dining.
The A La Carte menu features dishes from the diverse regions of Italy, from Tuscany to Rome, Sicily to Florence and include handcrafted pastas that melt in the mouth, sumptuous antipasti, and of course, our famous Roman-style pizzas, prepared fresh in front of guests.
Our wine selection has been curated with the aim of offering a rich variety from all regions of Italy with a focus on Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello, Amarone and Super Tuscan wines. The rest of the world is also represented in our wine list - with a special attention to French selection.
While curating the list our Head Sommelier looks to represent the most interesting indigenous varieties, along with the well-known producers, highlighting organic and biodynamic wines to showcase different terroirs’ offerings.
Welcome to Bocconcino Soho: Italian dining in the heart of W1F
Bocconcino Soho is on Great Marlborough Street in the heart of Soho, a few minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and the top of Carnaby Street. Among the Italian restaurants in Soho the building has its own character: a contemporary fit-out that nods to the brand’s Forte dei Marmi roots, with refined interiors built around warm earthy tones and marble accents. The kitchen runs the same regional Italian menu as Bocconcino Mayfair but with a slightly broader pizza section and a weekend brunch service that pulls in a younger crowd. The food is central to the experience: regional Italian cooking, hand-rolled pasta, Roman-style pizzas baked on the open-fire oven, and seafood dishes drawn from Sicily and Napoli.
Soho as a neighbourhood sets the pace for the restaurant. Lunch and early dinner are unhurried, but Friday and Saturday nights move at a different speed. Resident DJs play through both weekend evenings and during Saturday brunch.
Soho’s contemporary Italian dining experience
The restaurant’s design captures the essence of modern Italian aesthetics. The room is open and visible from the street, with the bar at the front and the dining room running deeper into the building. Marble accents, soft brass and natural wood do most of the work in the fit-out, and the lighting changes across the day to suit the mood: bright at lunch, warmer through dinner, lower through the late service. Most regulars sit closer to the bar at the front for shorter dinners or pre-theatre meals, and further into the room for longer evenings and group bookings. The food is paced to match: lighter dishes through the early service, the full regional menu through dinner.
The brand’s Forte dei Marmi roots are referenced in the design without being made into a theme. The cooking is the same regional Italian menu run at Mayfair, with a small number of dishes specific to Soho. The energy is the difference between the two venues: Soho is louder, looser and more weekend-led.
Soho Italian restaurant menu: handcrafted pasta, Roman-style pizza, regional dishes
Our kitchen team celebrates the quintessential ingredients, flavours and traditions of Italy, all while introducing the contemporary flair Bocconcino is known for. The à la carte menu features dishes from the diverse regions of Italy: Tuscany, Rome, Sicily, Florence and Napoli. Handcrafted pastas that melt in the mouth, sumptuous antipasti, and our famous Roman-style pizzas, prepared fresh in front of guests on the open-fire oven. The kitchen is led by Head Chef Marco Corsica, who grew up cooking on the Mediterranean coast and brings that working knowledge into every section of the menu.
Soho’s pizza section runs slightly broader than Mayfair’s, with more options at the lighter end and the option to order half-and-half on most pizzas. The pasta is hand-rolled in-house each morning. The antipasti selection is the right size to share, and many tables order three or four to start before moving into mains. Vegetarian and vegan dishes run through the menu rather than as a separate section. Pre-theatre menus are offered in the late afternoon for guests heading to West End shows.
Bottomless brunch with a resident DJ on Saturdays
The Saturday brunch at Bocconcino Soho runs with a resident DJ from late morning into the afternoon. The brunch menu draws on the Italian breakfast and lunch tradition: pasta, pizzas, and lighter antipasti, alongside a bottomless drinks option that keeps the prosecco moving. The brunch is one of the busier services of the week and tends to be booked out in advance, particularly for birthdays and hen parties.
Wine: Italy first, with a serious French selection
The Soho wine list mirrors the cellar at Mayfair: over 300 bottles, with the spine of the list built around the major Italian appellations. Barolo and Barbaresco from Piedmont, Brunello from Tuscany, Amarone from the Veneto, and a working selection of Super Tuscans. The Head Sommelier sources organic and biodynamic producers where possible and looks for indigenous Italian varieties that are not always on London restaurant lists.
France is represented seriously, with Champagne and Burgundy taking the largest share. There is a smaller selection from Spain, the New World, Greece and the rest of the world for guests who want to drink outside Italy. The by-the-glass list is broad enough to support pairing through a multi-course meal, and the sommelier team is available throughout service to advise. For larger groups in private dining, set wine pairings can be arranged in advance.
Sotto Bar: cocktails downstairs
Sotto Bar sits in the basement at the same Great Marlborough Street address as the restaurant. Sotto is a separate venue with its own brand and its own drinks list, run as a basement cocktail bar with a curated programme of resident bartenders and seasonal menus. Many guests start with dinner upstairs and move down to Sotto for drinks afterwards, but Sotto can also be visited as a standalone bar. The space is available for private hire for smaller events, with capacity that suits a launch, a milestone birthday or an after-dinner extension.
Private dining and group bookings in Soho
Private dining at Bocconcino Soho is set up for the area’s rhythm. The spaces work well for birthdays, hen parties, group brunches and standing receptions. Corporate meeting rooms are also available for daytime use, with lunch and dinner service in the room. Bookings can combine the restaurant with Sotto Bar downstairs for a longer evening, with the bar opening earlier for guests on a private event. Minimum spend applies at peak periods. The events team handles the booking, the menu and the drinks setup, and bespoke options are available for larger parties.
Soho restaurants and where Bocconcino fits
Soho is one of central London’s busiest restaurant areas. Among the Italian restaurants in Soho, Bocconcino sits in the bracket of established, full-service venues rather than counter-service or casual sit-down places. The kitchen is open and the dining room is set for proper meals, but the weekend energy and the downstairs cocktail bar make the venue work for a wider range of occasions: Saturday brunches with friends, pre-theatre dinners, late dinners followed by drinks, group bookings, and quieter weekday lunches alike.
