Our menu offers simple Italian classics balanced with a touch of contemporary flair; with an excellent range of antipasti and modern main courses from the diverse regions of Italy. Larger dishes include an array of fresh and sexy fish & seafood, catch of the day, and meats cooked over an open fire adding a beautiful flavour. Perfect wood fire pizzas are made on site daily by our team of pizzaiolos and cooked traditionally with signatures including Pizza Bocconcino - our speciality with stracchino, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and Parma ham. Ingredients are key to recreating the authentic flavours of Italy, and all our produce is directly imported and locally sourced to bring you only the best and freshest ingredients.
The restaurant follows the best culinary principles of Italy: excellent quality ingredients, honest cooking and first class service.
The food was so authentic, flavoursome and not overly complicated and combined dishes with real depth of flavour with that comfort factor.
We feasted, we romanced and we enjoyed. I can’t wait to be back in London again – when I will certainly be returning.
This slick restaurant in Mayfair specialises in traditional Italian cuisine, with fish and seafood dishes a focus. In fact, you can check out the day’s haul in the fish display, with produce laid out on ice ready to be taken to the kitchen and cooked over an open fire.
ReadAnd if you walk along the fashionable Knightsbridge or Belgravia Square (for some time also known as "Red Square"), or Mayfair, especially around Berkeley Square, the centre of the so-called "Golden Mile", where most of our filming took place - then you'll come across the recently opened Bocconcino restaurant by Michail Gokhner.
ReadBocconcino is ideal for a romantic supper or a party to remember. The menu, which is the vision of the executive chef Marco Corsica, allows guests to choose between a more informal style of dining – think antipasti to share, followed by a classic selection of pizzas – and an extravagant feast for special occasions.
ReadIt’s my favourite Mayfair Italian – there, I’ve said it – and I await the day I return with baited breath and dreams of cheese and wine. Noticeable attributes to the luxurious space include a gorgeous tree and a cellar-cum-orchard immersion as you eat surrounded by exposed brick, booths booming with wine serves and fish ready for the much displayed intriguingly by the busy open kitchen.
ReadBright yellow tagliatelle swimming in a buttery sauce and topped with a decadent, perfumed and nutty black truffle, and a comparatively rustic (but devilishly hard to perfect) pici cacio e pepe – tagliatelle with pecorino Romano and black pepper – were truly bellissimo. This being Mayfair, service is top-notch and there’s a sommelier to help guide you through the Italian wine list.
ReadFresh, fine produce and an excellent fish selection are the winning factors of Bocconcino. The recipes remain traditional, with a slight contemporary twist. The splendid interior and the cosy atmosphere makes this a delightful Italian oasis in the most grandiose district of central London.
ReadThe service provided was truly first class, with the friendly and attentive staff ensuring our glasses were never empty, supplying us with recommendations for dishes to try and the best wines to pair them with.
ReadI would highly recommend Bocconcino not only for their very appealing Italian food menu, but also for those who enjoy alcoholic beverages, they will be blessed with an extensive wine list, a very stylish interior design, and definitely an outstanding service and staff.

You know you are onto a winner when, after ordering, your waiter advises you that you are going to have to move to a bigger table to accommodate all your food.
For quality, variety and – let’s face it – quantity, Bocconcino's four-course menu simply can’t be beaten. The restaurant also offers a seven-course affair; consider yourself warned.
